The house was great, and the hosts were very responsive to all of our needs. The backyard was beautiful, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the pool had a safety fence, even though it wasn’t shown in the pictures. That was a huge plus for us since we were traveling with our 3-year-old twins. It gave us peace of mind knowing they could play in the backyard without us constantly worrying about the pool. The only feedback we have is regarding privacy. The front door has small glass panels without any shades or covering, so whenever someone came to deliver something and knocked, they could easily see inside the house. We also felt that the backyard/pool door would benefit from blinds or curtains for added privacy, as well as a screen door or mosquito net to help keep flies and mosquitoes from coming into the house. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this property.
Place was beautiful as soon as we arrived and walked in. Looking more into the place, a lot of their furniture inside and outside was stained. Kind of an inconvenience due to not feeling too good about laying down on the outside furniture. The stove was not all entirely functional. We did some cooking, but had to finish one thing before doing something else due to the left bug burner not working. When arriving the pools had lots of insects but thankfully they were quick to clean it the same day and extended our check out time to enjoy the pool more. Pier 60 was not 15 min away and was in fact 30+ min drive. Although, there was a lot of things that needed to get upgraded the place was a nice chill spot to be with family and relax inside the pool. They checked on us, our entire stay and were very friendly and had awesome customer service.
While the property had some positive aspects, there were several issues that affected our stay. Prior to arrival, I asked whether an early check-in would be possible and was told additional time was needed between guests to clean and prepare the home. Given that, I was disappointed to find that the couch did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned upon arrival. Additionally, people entered the backyard to service the pool during our stay without any advance notice. While I understand that routine maintenance is necessary, I would have appreciated being informed beforehand. The outdoor furniture was also not as expected based on the listing photos. Much of it appeared worn, with visible rips and signs of age, and it did not seem particularly clean. As a result, the backyard area did not match the impression created by the pictures. I believe better communication, more attention to cleanliness, and updated listing photos would help create a more positive experience for future guests.
